Jennifer Stater

My name is Jennifer Stater, and I am the Secondary TAG Coordinator for the Mt. Pleasant Community School District. Besides for my responsibilities as the TAG Coordinator, I also teach Middle School Honors Language Arts and Reading. This is my 14th year of teaching and my second year at Mt. Pleasant. I graduated from The University of Iowa with a degree in English Education. I have a Master’s Degree from Viterbo University and my TAG Endorsement is from The University of Iowa.
Making sure that our TAG students are challenged in their classes and inspired to learn is one of my top priorities. In Honors Language Arts, it is my mission to have students who are confident, successful, life-long learners. Exposing the students to a variety of genres, styles of writing, and opportunities to speak in different situations are ways we can achieve our goals.
What spare time I do have is spent with my family, participating in community and school activities. I enjoy reading, writing, bicycling, antiquing, and of course, spending time with family and friends.
