Hello… I am Mrs. Augsburger!

I love teaching 1st grade…which is why I’ve been doing this since 1985! I graduated from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State) with a degree in elementary education and early childhood in December 1984 and came here the following summer. I received my master’s degree in reading in 1990. My first 3 years in Mt. Pleasant were spent teaching at Saunders Elementary, and the rest have been spent at Lincoln Elementary. The dedicated staff makes Lincoln a fun place to work and learn!

My philosophy on education is that I’m here to help children grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Children develop at different rates, so it’s important to build on small successes and always encourage them to do their best. I feel that parents and teachers are a team when it comes to helping students, so I enjoy working together to support your children.

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and traveling to visit our two daughters, Staci (and her husband, Chad) and Ashli. Besides hanging out with them, I enjoy reading, stamping, and being involved in community events including Old Threshers and church activities.
