Hello!  My name is Lisa LeFever and I am a Second Grade Teacher here at Lincoln.  Let me start by telling you a little bit about myself.  I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember and loved playing school as a little girl growing up.  I received my undergraduate degree from Buena Vista University in Elementary Education and my graduate degree from Morningside College.  I was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant so getting to teach in the school district I went to means so much to me.  My husband Michael and I have two children, Gavin, a senior at MPCHS and Grace, a Kindergartner here at Lincoln.

I have always believed that teaching is a calling for me and not just a career.  I believe that when you are passionate about what you do and lead with your heart, what you can accomplish is limitless.  I love working with students and helping them to see and reach for all they are capable of being.  My philosopy in education is one of personal relationships.  Once children truly know that you care about them and believe in them, they will believe in themselves.  I love guiding students to reach for their goals and believe that we are truly raising our future right in front of our eyes, so we must take that opportunity very seriously.

In my free time,  I love spending time with my family, great friends, and being outdoors playing golf and enjoying Iowa's beautiful seasons.  I am an avid fan of the Mt. Pleasant Panthers, Iowa Hawkeyes, and St. Louis Cardinals.  I love working at Lincoln and the family atompshere we have here between the staff and students.  Lincoln is a special place and I feel so blessed to be a part of it.

Happy Learning and Go Panthers!
