Hello! I am an Instructional Strategist and have taught at the Mt. Pleasant Middle School since 2009. I support and co teach in Science and Social Studies for grades 6-8.

I graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College in 2006 with a BA in Elementary Education. I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Special Education. I taught 5th grade at Holy Trinity for one year, then became the Afterschool Program Director and Life Skills teacher through the Henry County Extension Office for two years.

I love teaching because every day is different with new challenges. Seeing students be successful makes even the worst day great! I love working at the Middle School because we are a great team and want the best for the students!

I grew up in Mt. Pleasant and have been a Panther fan for my whole life! I have four children, ages 19, 17, 16, and 15. I love to spend time with my family, and I also love to read! My favorite thing to do is ride my bicycle on RAGBRAI and also ride on the Harley Davidson with my husband.
