Welcome to Mt. Pleasant Middle School! My name is Melissa Shull and I am a System 44 instructor and At Risk teacher. I am excited to be part of the excellence in education Mt. Pleasant strives to provide each and every student.
I attended Iowa Wesleyan earning a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Education along with a Reading endorsement. I then attended Viterbo University and obtained my Master’s Degree in Education.
My Husband Micah and I have four children: Lincoln 17, Jessica 17, Sammy 15, and Gunnar 15. When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, shopping for antiques and primitives, decorating, and taking my dog for long walks.
As a teacher, my goal is to partner with students, parents, and staff to create an atmosphere in which students can develop into life-long learners. It is through our positive relationships and working as a team that students will accomplish their educational goals.
